About Tremcar Inc:

This enterprise, located in the Iberville sector of St-Jean-sur-Richelieu, was founded in 1962 by the Tougas brothers. The two brothers were welders by trade. The business specialized in the fabrication of stainless steel tankers trailers to transport milk between the farms and the dairies of Québec. During the next few decades, the business grew with the expansion of the dairy industry in Québec.
At the end of 1989, Mr. Jacques Tremblay bought the business through the holding company owned by his family. The company was then renamed Tremcar. At that time, the enterprise had 28 employees.
Now, it manufactures stainless steel tanker trailers for transport of chemical, foodgrade, petroleum and crude oil products as well as aluminum tanker trailers for transport of dry bulk products, petroleum, crude oil and chemical products. It holds the main North American certifications. It now employs 370 individuals with 5 offices, service centers and distributors all across North America. Tremcar has 7 representatives and 13 distributors.
