Main Steel is an independent toll processor, specializing in bright metals. We have been serving the truck trailer industry for over 50 years. Each one of Main Steel's facilities offer a combination of capabilities. Five of our locations, Bartlett, Il; Harmony, PA; Union, NJ; Wheeling, IL; and Youngstown, OH, are referred to as mega-centers as they incorporate nearly all of the processes under one roof, with our Youngstown Plant handling the bulk of our mill and plate business. Atlanta, GA and Commerce, CA are slightly smaller processing centers with different combinations of the services we offer.

Four of Main Steel's seven nationwide locations offer slitting for aluminum and stainless products. We can slit from 1" to 60" wide in gauges from .008 - .250 inches for aluminum and .008 - .190 inches for stainless for coils up to 60,000#. We specialize in tight tolerance (+/- to .005) and surface critical jobs that require additional inspections. We can also apply protective films where your job requires it.
